Richard was in full party mood as he joined with Gary and Angela Smith and several hundred other guests at The President’s Ball in Solihull. The Ball provided a great opportunity for Gary to thank everybody for their support over his Presidential Year and to especially recognise his wife, Angie - pictured here ‘relaxing’ with Richard – and other members of his family.

The evening was focussed around Gary’s Maverick theme and his PLC members guided guests to their tables across a flight deck. Early evening décor included country flags that were blown (or stolen) from around the deck over the course of the meal.

 Wine flowed liberally at Richard’s table as he enjoyed the evening with fellow members of Area 33 and their partners. PLC IT specialist Terry Porter is seen preparing to launch into a classic Table rendition of a popular sing-a long song as meal time entertainment included Land of Hope and glory through to Zorbas Dance.

Following the meal, an excellent Robbie Williams tribute performed throughout the night interspersed with a disco to give all revellers the chance to dance the night away. Retiring to the bar at the end of the show more fellowship was enjoyed to round off an excellent weekend.
